His Grace Disability Journey, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides Support, Educational & Fun Activities to Children & Adults with developmental disabilities and their families. Together we are empowering them to help their children grow to their fullest potential. Our goal is to educate children, families, and volunteers thro

Together we are empowering them to help their children grow to their fullest potential. Our goal is to educate children, families, and volunteers through Support Group meetings and Community Inclusion.
In addition, His Grace will offer Faith-based Connect Groups that will provide an opportunity to grow in faith and strengthen one another through Prayer, Bible Study and Fellowship.

There are over 15,000 people on the waiting list for needed services, according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Many individuals with I/DD could potentially wait 15-20 years before their needs are met. With numbers like these, you can begin to understand that connecting with an organization such as ours is

Many individuals with I/DD could potentially wait 15-20 years before their needs are met. With numbers like these, you can begin to understand that connecting with an organization such as ours is filling a much needed gap in the lives of these individuals, their families and making a difference.
Their special loved ones need structure, routine and assistance to learn to become independent as soon as their disability is diagnosed…They need help from the very beginning of their journey.
Families caring for Children & Adults with developmental disabilities are often searching for direction and support as they look for ways to assist their special loved one and family; from childhood, into adulthood, and beyond.

Through His Grace, families connect to seasoned families gaining knowledge from parents who have been where they are. They share information that assist families as they navigate the special needs community. Examples of things communicated are...Specialty Areas: Dentists, Therapists, Doctors, Educators, Organizations that can assist with specific needs, and so much more. Seasoned Parents can also offer insight on different ways to structure their homes, set routines and provide guidance where needed.

This is a great opportunity for families to interact with other families caring for disabled loved ones.

Join the Grace Team on Saturday, July 12th at 5:00 PM for our Family Fun Heatwave Heroes Party with a Cookout and Dessert. Upon request from one of our Grace Kids, we have added Water Games to this event! During the Cookout, you'll have the choice of a Hot Dog or Hamburger that will be served with Drink, Watermelon & choice of Popcorn or Chips ...
We'll have some cooling stations AND we have added water games. (If you plan on playing these games, be sure to bring a towel and change of clothes!)
We have also added a BIG Connect Four Game and other yard games to engage our loved ones. This will be a Great opportunity to make friends and enjoy some time together. (You will need to bring folding chairs and blankets for seating)
To cover our Tasty Eats Treats, there is a $2.00 per person fee ...
***This event will be cancelled in the Event of Bad Weather/High Winds***
This event is exclusive for children & adults with Autism and/or other Disabilities and their immediate family.
